Quilting with the Cuz!

Sunday my cousin came over to make her first quilt!  She wanted to learn how to make a rag quilt, which is pretty quick to make.  We used the AccuCut machine to cut the rag squares and I will tell you that it is a HUGE time saver.  The fringed edges are perfectly cut and you don't have to do all the snipping when you are finished.

Here are some pics of her finished rag quilt - it is so cute and colorful!

Wow! this is a great quilt! well done!! I keep reading about the AccuCut.. think I might just have to get one!!! Love the colours you have used too - did you layer all flannel or put a batting in the middle?? I've seen instructions for both but I haven't made one as yet.....I have a big box of flannel fabric begging to be used!!

If I use cotton then I put batting inside the rag quilt. But both sides were flannel on this one so we skipped the batting. It is definitely still thick and soft...the batting would have made it impossible to go through the machine.
